What Reiki is

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) means ‘Universal Life Force Energy’. It is an ancient, entirely natural and safe form of hands-on healing that works on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels of you! Reiki is a safe and natural method of spiritual healing and self-development. It has been effective in reducing illness and always creates a beneficial effect to the mind and body. It also works in conjunction with all other medical and therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

How Reiki Works

Reiki is a simple and powerful process which allows channeled energy to flow through the practitioner’s hands to wherever it is needed in the receiver’s body. This leads to a balancing and strengthening the body’s natural ability to heal itself, not only of physical disorders but also in the release of mental stress. Reiki is a holistic healing system with a gentle nurturing energy, which will give you a wonderful fuzzy warm feeling that flows through and around you.

What a Reiki treatment Includes

During a Reiki treatment, the practitioner assists the client to heal themselves spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically by a simple laying-on of my hands in a series of positions. The treatment takes place on a comfortable floor level futon in a warm, relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner channels the Universal Life Force Energy, allowing it to flow to where it is needed in the receiver’s body, bringing the energy centres into alignment.

About Samantha Court — Reiki Practitioner

Sam’s journey into holistic principles began in 1999 when she was taught about Aromatherapy as a gentle, but powerful holistic therapy. In addition to Aromatherapy, Sam subsequently completed a training course, studying and being attuned to Reiki in the first degree in December 2009. Sam was then attuned to the second degree of the Reiki Usui system of natural healing in March 2010 and went on to qualify as a Master of the universal natural healing system of Reiki in July 2010. Sam is passionate about Reiki and other holistic therapies and she aims to help clients to manage their own physical and emotional symptoms in order to improve the quality of their life. Sam is especially drawn to offering Reiki to terminally ill patients, not only to ease their suffering but also to give peace of mind when assisting them to come to terms with their illness. Sam currently provides support and treatments as a volunteer therapist by offering Reiki every month at a local cancer charity in Leicester.
