What Facial Reflexology is
Reflexology is a holistic therapy that helps to activate the body’s own natural healing powers. Facial reflexology uses traditional techniques and modern science, based on the principle that there are energy zones that run throughout the body and reflex areas in the face (and feet) that correspond to all major organs, glands and body parts. The whole body can be mapped out on to the face and stimulating various points leads to therapeutic benefit to the client.
How Facial Reflexology Works
According to facial Reflexologist, Ziggie Bergman; "the face provides a beautiful and precise tool to read what is going on within the body's internal organs, central nervous system and neuro-biological system". All organs and parts of the body lie along facial zones and facial reflexology works by applying gentle pressure to these points on the face to stimulate the entire zone throughout the whole body. The face's proximity to the brain is key to the effectiveness of manipulating facial reflex points which directly connect to the body's neuro-pathways. Facial reflexology also works by deeply relaxing the client, allowing the central nervous system to calm - bringing the body, mind and spirit back into balance.

This combination treatment will begin with a mini aromatherapy facial to cleanse the face to prepare for a 12-point Facial Reflexology routine, aimed specifically to reduce stress and improve well-being. Following this, the therapist will work via the feet, to focus on Reflexology points that cover the whole body and soothe the central nervous system completely.
